| The Shadow Star pattern is a nice combination of applique and piecing. The center star is pieced in a lone star style with strips giving it a framed appearance. The additional strips and star points provide the shadow effect. The flowers and leaves around the star, the pillow tuck, and the flowers around the border are appliqued. |
| This is a beautiful quilt in the shadow star pattern. It uses various solids and prints in shades of dusty and medium blue with an ivory background. The matching pillow tuck and the appliqued flowers with a scalloped edge on the remaining three sides add the finishing touches. Fabrics used are cotton and cotton blends and is handquilted.
